Yes, the market is in full ‘downward dog’ right now…

Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana are down roughly 10-20% over the past 7 days – the total crypto market is down 12% – and the stock market is dumping alongside it.

That sucks, and it doesn’t feel good. BUT!

It’s all basic, boilerplate market behavior (more basic than “Live, Love, Laugh” posters, or Kyle’s coffee mug that reads “No talky till I have my coffee”).

Not convinced? Let’s jump into some charts…

1/ $BTC 2015-2017 bull run

In the 2015-2017 bull cycle, Bitcoin experienced 20-40%+ pullbacks 12 times in total! 😨

2/ $BTC 2019-2021 bull run

Last bull cycle? Bitcoin experienced 20-60%+ pullbacks a total of 9 times! 😧

3/ $BTC 2022 low - Present

From November 2022 till today, we’ve been hit with 20-30%+ pullbacks 6 times already. 🤨

4/ $SOL has been on an even bumpier rollercoaster over the years…

Since 2021, Solana has seen 6 – wait for it – 35-95% pullbacks! 😮

5/ And $ETH has been pulling similar numbers…

Since 2021, Ethereum has seen 20-80%+ pullbacks a total of 8 times! 🫢

Scary? Sure. But here’s the thing…

It all trends up over time. 

Everything we’re experiencing right now is just a teeny tiny part of a decades-long secular trend.

And all you need to do to capitalize on it is:

1. Take a long-term view

2. Ignore any noise these pullbacks create (Ear Muffs 😉)

3. Flip your perception to see any pullbacks that occur outside of ‘cycle top’ territory (which we’re not in yet) as a buying opportunity

As for the pullback we’re in right now? Repeat after me:

“This too shall pass.”

COTD: IS $BTC NEARING THE BOTTOM OF ITS DIP? 📊

Below is a chart that tracks Bitcoin’s price action against the 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI).

When you hear ‘RSI’ think ‘momentum tracker’. 

And over the past two-and-a-bit years, every time the RSI has hit (or dipped below) ~30, it has indicated that Bitcoin is about to go into ‘grind sideways’ mode, before starting its next leg up. 

Which leaves us with what we’d classify as: good, bad, and great news.

1. Good news: We should be nearing the bottom of this current dip. 💪

2. Bad news: We might not flip immediately back into ‘up only’ mode (if the pattern in this chart continues, we’re probably going to sit in a boring-ass range for weeks/months) 😴

3. Great news: if this chart is anything to go by, once $BTC breaks out of its slump, we could see a rough doubling in price from its lows! 🎉
