Moreover, it appears that there's nothing these AIs can't do - from video editing to content writing, from tax advice to coding.

The space is moving incredibly fast and it can be quite overwhelming to wrap your head around all of these different tools that open so many possibilities for streamlining our lives and businesses.

While it might be enticing to wait for the current surge of enthusiasm to subside, the truth is that it won't.

We are now witnessing an ever-accelerating phase of exponential technological progress. Humans are used to thinking linearly, while we should be thinking exponentially.

It means it’s time to take action. It’s time to learn and adapt to the new reality where AI is here to stay, and it’s here to replace many of the jobs once thought irreplaceable.

And that’s a good thing. It will allow humans to focus on synthesizing and building new ideas, or spending more time with our family and friends, and let the AI handle all of our repetitive and time-consuming tasks. It’s here to make our lives easier, after all.

But before we do that, it’s important to go over some mental models that I think will serve you well as we tug along in the era of exponential advancement.

AI is here to take all our jobs.

Well, kind of.

It’s here to do away with everything that is mind-numbingly repetitive in our daily lives.

Need to take notes in a meeting and write a summary? AI can do that. 📜

Need to edit and process a video or a photo? AI can do that. 📹

Need to brainstorm ideas and write scripts for a workshop? You get the picture.

With enough effort, you will be able to train an AI to think and act like you, and while it’s executing these tasks, you can focus on more important and novel pursuits.

AI tools are tools just like any others - they are here to help you (...for now).

These particular ones just happen to be exceptionally powerful to a point of being downright terrifying in what they can do. So let’s embrace the change and equip ourselves with the tools and the mindset to master whatever is thrown at us.

Now more than ever, we MUST be prepared to be continuously learning and changing our minds as new information becomes available.

These tools are available to anyone, so the only distinguishing success factor between you and others is your ability to learn and adapt.

Those who will have mastered extreme adaptability will be the ones to come out on top.

It’s the same scenario as what happened with the internet. Those who used Google to research instead of a library got better jobs, better marks in school and were overall way more efficient.

AI is the next step in human efficiency.
